NOM Finance supports market introduction PaintCube BV

NOM Finance, part of N.V. NOM, will be providing venture capital to PaintCube, based in Leeuwarden. PaintCube will be using this financial injection to market PaintCube, a remarkable and innovative paint container.

As a remarkable and innovative container for paint, PaintCube offers a number of key advantages over tradition paint containers. The traditional round tin has been replaced by a striking cube in the colour of the paint itself. Made of sustainable and recycle material, the cube containing environmentally-friendly water-based paint is easily stacked. Using the Paintcube to position paint as a high-interest product that brightens up life, the initiators have decided to use new sales channels, such as the Internet (www.verfspot.nl) and department stores.

One of these activities involved the PaintCube. We believe in this highly innovative and original product and are convinced of its tremendous market potential. NOM Finance has therefore decided to provide the new company with the venture capital it needs to expand.?

Erik van der Schaaf about the cooperation with NOM Finance: ?As VDS Groep, which includes paint wholesaler Friesland Coatings, we have been in contact with NOM about the new activities and possible participation for some time. When we first presented our ideas and marketing plans for the introduction of the Paintcube, they were as enthusiastic as we were, and they proved very keen to support the initiative. That they, like us, believe in the market potential of the Paintcube, is evident from the fact that NOM Finance will provide us with venture capital. We will use most of this financial injection to properly market the product, starting this week in the Netherlands, expanding to the Benelux over the next few months and to other European countries by the end of this year.?

Van der Schaaf says the Paintcube is available as On Top and as Wall paint, starting with 15 trendy colours. The product range will be expanded with natural paints and special coatings in the longer term.
